San Diego born and raised, I came from a Hawaiian family that was beckoned to the dinner table like a moth to a flame. Always having a love and passion for food, I was drawn to a life that included food as not just something on a plate, but something I could use to make my way in the world. After having this epiphany, I found myself making a pilgrimage to the food mecca of the world, New York City, enrolling in the International Culinary Center, and graduating as one of the top in my class. I’ve worked in some of the best kitchens in the United States and recently worked in a Michelin Starred kitchen in Barcelona, Spain.
Back from overseas I am moving into the next phase of my culinary journey which finds me outside the kitchen, where I am starting a Food and Lifestyle blog sharing my barbed thoughts and comments on everything from food, love, and life, and my relationships with all three.
